Listing design exploration

Owner request: an Acquire-inspired listing page with table/card toggle; profile verification shield first, short opportunity title second, location and relevant details third, Apply last. Apply leads to interactive Free and Paid choices.

Artifact: prototype/listing-design/index.html, CSS and JavaScript alongside it. This is a separate visual exploration from the existing generated journey prototype, not an application implementation. All six sample listings are fictional. Evidence folders are unchanged. No DG decision, fee, verification policy or service entitlement is established.

Design rationale

Follow-up: the hero globe now has three planets on independent 13/21/32-second circular orbits, with blue, green and muted gold accents. A Pause/Resume control is available; reduced-motion preferences disable the animation. The decorative illustration remains hidden at the existing narrow-screen breakpoint. This is visual behavior only, with no durable product-policy change.

Orbit verification: JavaScript syntax and diff whitespace checks completed without errors. Browser verification of this follow-up was blocked by the browser URL-policy gate; animation appearance and pause behavior are not claimed as browser-tested.

Use blue #174BD6 for actions, navy #142A45 for headings, white cards on #F8FAFC, and green #14705A for verification. Typography uses locally installed Inter or Segoe UI/Arial, avoiding external font requests. A restrained marketplace layout prioritizes fast comparison and a consistent Apply location. Table is the default; cards offer a more spacious alternative. Mobile rows rearrange into readable stacked summaries.

Reference inspected: Acquire (2026-10-22), which presents business discovery and assisted acquisition services. This prototype adapts the marketplace idea to partnerships; no claim is made that Acquire’s authenticated marketplace was inspected or copied. Color is a design judgment, not a universal psychological finding.

Boundaries and unresolved decisions

Opportunities-and-Discovery and Engagement-and-Tracking remain the owning modules. Q02, Q03, Q05 and Q06 are not resolved by the mockup. The shield labels fictional profile verification, not opportunity endorsement. The Free/Paid split is an owner-requested proposed interaction; the illustrative paid route discusses support and a separately agreed fee. It makes no acceptance, staffing, timing or payment commitment. No payment processing is added.

The visual concept introduces no access to real company records. Authorization, eligibility-before-query, cross-company denial, idempotency, outbox and auditing are not implemented and their tests are not applicable to this local synthetic artifact. Inputs are bounded, native controls and visible keyboard focus are present, no data is sent or logged, and security posture is unchanged.

Evidence and next action

JavaScript syntax check passed. Browser smoke checks verified table/card view, save and Saved count, search, empty state recovery, selected-opportunity routing and both Free/Paid completions. Desktop layouts and mobile listing at 390px were visually inspected; listing and application showed no horizontal overflow at that width. Browser console had no errors. Screenshots are under prototype/listing-design/previews/.

No integrated scenario status is changed. No publication, issue, PR, or commit was created. Next eligible action: owner/client review of the visual direction and proposed verification/Free/Paid wording, followed by a separately scoped implementation task.

Vault validation: the legacy validate_vault.py . --selftest ran with temporary-folder access. Its three mutation self-tests were detected, but the whole-vault check exited 1 for unresolved links, an honesty-pattern check, source inventory hashes and retained duplicates. These broader findings were not repaired as part of the UI design; evidence files remain untouched. JavaScript syntax and git diff --check completed without errors.
